A group of designers from Cumbria University recreate ,Lamb breast corset and sausage meat dress.

From dressing up as Mary Magdalene to wearing a coat of frogs, Lady Gaga's wacky wardrobe never ceases to amaze but her dress made from cuts of raw meat left the world aghast.

But it seems that the infamous 'meat dress' worn by the American singer to last year's MTV Video Music Awards has inspired a group of aspiring fashionistas.
In anticipation of Lady Gaga's UK tour this month a group of 20 fashion students from the University of Cumbria have been working with local butchers to recreate the show stopping number
At the time hoards of New Yorkers were clamouring to recreate the dress for Halloween and now a group of young UK designers have replicated the infamous costume.

Featuring a chipolata skirt, lamb breast corset, a Cumberland Sausage swirl bust, meat shoes and headpiece it's a replica of Gaga's outfit which used an estimated 15lb of flesh.
Co-designer Megan Douglas,20, said: 'I'm really pleased with how it has turned out - the shoes and the head piece are also brilliant.
The American pop sensation Lady Gaga made headlines last October when she collected eight music awards while wearing the Franc Fernandez-designed outfit, complete with boots, purse and a hat made from slices of beef
