Diana's dresses remembered as designer Catherine Walker dies

With the death of Catherine Walker, the British fashion world has lost one of its leading couturiers - best known for creating Princess Diana's "dignified show-stoppers".

During her time in the limelight the royal wore over 1,000 of the Frenchwoman's designs.

In fact, the designer was so prominent in providing the Princess with her most iconic outfits that Diana was even laid to rest in a black dress she bought from Catherine a few weeks before she passed away.
