Hi,
I have heard the buzz about the film. I guess expectations are very high.
I pray that Kanumba has taken part in a worthwhile project with this film.
I do not wish to bash it, which would benefit you the moderator coz you will not publish my comments, but really wish to say the following for the benefit of this art in Tanzania and amongst Tanzanians.
I bought, out of character, legally and proudly a film called Hostel this weekend.
I usually come by these films when my in-laws leave them in my DVD. I convince myself to sit and watch and ultimately get dragged into trudging, predictable, sloppy story lines that barely stimulate my....er...wats the word?

What is wrong?
Why are Tz artists and Directors so limited and myopic in grasping movies and movie making?

Yes, Hostel, Oh, gosh, I ended up fast forwarding it!I understood it even at 8 times the normal speed.
It ended with an emphatic and unconvincing "Wait for Part 2!"
NO!
At less than a Pound, I am NOT getting the second tape. I know what will happen!
There were absolutely ridiculous scenes, bad acting, no soundtrack, shaky camera job etc etc etc!
Anyway, I wish to say, these guys are surely killing themselves off knowingly or otherwise.
Seeing as I am the only one who is commenting,I am discouraged to continuing with advise.
So, I am going to wait for this film that may be a "landmark" effort for Kanumba. The location shots seem detached from the main flow....Boy, in getting the legal copy, I may be gambling again!!
